Flawed Dogs, a true look December 29, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Flawed Dogs is a excellent book that portrays the true nature of many pound dogs. Some reviewers have dismissed it as trash but from a person with a houseful of flawed dogs, disposed of by others, I say it hits the mark. Thanks once again Berkley Breathed for a excellent book.
Flawed Dogs RULE! August 4, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Being a dog lover for a lifetime, I laughed and cried over this book. And as a mother to two of the most wonderful flawed dogs, I could definitely relate. Berkeley Breathed is a long-time favorite and putting the two subjects together made it irrestible to me.
Wonderful. May 27, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Berke Breathed, Flawed Dogs: The Year-End Leftovers at the Piddleton "Last Chance" Dog Pound (Little, Brown, 2003)
Flawed Dogs is one of those books that will take you five minutes to read-- so read it already. Breathed is, of course, best known for Bloom County (and its followup Opus), but this is a little (38pp.) stand-alone volume featuring a gallery of very odd-looking pooches, each with a companion piece of (forgive me in advance, gods of pun) doggerel. It's great fun, and I have little doubt your kids (because, really, you're buying it for the kids, honest) will love it. ****
LOVE FLAWED DOGS May 18, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
the imagination and humor is amazingly funny. i can look through the book over and over and see something different and fun. i share this with my grandsons. i like to use it to expand their imaginations. to let them know there is no limit to the mind. gena lee
Sad and Sweet January 29, 2007 What a wonderful testimony to shelter animals! It's sad, funny, and very creative. I gave all of my managers a copy this past holiday season. Well worth it.
