This is umbelievable. It's 2007 and this is still one of my favorite games. That goes to show that graphics arent everything and gameplay is the thing that matters. Nintendo, I love you.

5 out of 5 stars The best Mario Game ever   December 27, 2006

Super Mario Land 2 is awesome! There are many fun levels and power ups. You can save 3 game files on one game cartridge! I fully recommend this game to anyone that owns a Gameboy, Gameboy Pocket, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, or Gameboy Advance SP.

5 out of 5 stars Still Awesome (Rating: 10 out of 10- -5 stars)   November 23, 2006

The Game "Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins" was probably the first game I received when I got my Gameboy somewhere between 1992-1993. I swear when I first got this game, I couldn't put it down for hours. The game was hard at first, but as you gain experience, it gets easier and easier (I might have beaten the game about 100 times now).

There are 6 different levels in this game, Space Zone, Pumpkin Zone, Mario Zone, Turtle Zone, Tree Zone, & Marco Zone which signifies the 6 golden coins concept. I'd say the hardest is the Space Zone (that took me a long time to beat at first), before you get to Wario's Castle. Some of the bosses are easy to beat also. There are also hidden stages in this game to find, and when you beat them the zone setting will change (like in the Tree Zone, you will see flowers and such).

Special powers aren't really anything too new. Mario can still become Super Mario (what happens when you get the mushroom) and spit fireballs. The new one is when he gets bunny ears which causes him to float in the air and continously jump when you hold the jump button. Which is also good is when you get hit when you have fire power or the bunny ears, you just become super mario again and not become small.

As I said before, I received this game sometime when it first came out, and it is still fun to play 13 years later. If you like the Super Mario games like I do, I recommend this to you.

Graphics: A
Concept: A+
Game Play: A+
Difficulty: A-
Overall: A

P.S.- As I mentioned earlier, there are secret levels in every zone. I found all of them except the one for the Mario Zone. Is there one for that zone, and if it is can someone tell me how to get to it. That is the only one I do not have. Thanks.

4 out of 5 stars WAY BETTER THEN FIRST ONE!   August 15, 2006

This gbc game is way better then the first super mario land! In the first one the goombas, mushrooms, and question blocks are almost microscopic. I ran into a goomba thinking it was a mushroom!
so anyway, my point is super mario land 2 is WAY better then 1. The enemies, mushrooms, and question blocks are big like the gba mario games. Super mario land 2 is a big step from 1. Its very fun but the levels may get a little repetitive. Not that much though. but if you beat the game it's best to start over. The game isnt to hard. Only Warios castle is REALLY hard. Here are some number reveiws:

graphics: 7/10
sound: 8/10
music: 9/10
fun 9/10
levels 7/10

Overall the game is pretty good for a gameboy color. it's good for long car trips.

5 out of 5 stars hard but fun, fun, fun!   June 20, 2006

My next-dor neighbor, Matt Aurand Has This and let me borrow it.
I am horrible at game boy, but it is fun! I love the level "Pumpkin Zone." It is VERY FUN!! I tried playing the level "Tree Zone," but I quit trying to beat it after 2 hours.
Matt Aurand ROCKS at this game, though. We both think it is the best game in the world!
Note to kids with a game boy advance sp or color:
Ask mom or dad to buy this for you off amazon if you want a fun challenge.
Sincerely,
Brady hoyt
(It might be hard to me because i am an adult and don't really know how to play Game Boy...Actually That Is Why!!!!!
So play it, kids!
